Breath and Movement

How body and mind work together

4 min read

The body is not the prison of the soul – it is its expression. Movement is thinking in space and time.

Eurythmy: Movement as Language

Rudolf Steiner developed eurythmy – a movement art in which language and music become visible. Children who practice eurythmy develop a deeper feeling for language, more coordination and a stronger connection to their body.

In our courses, we integrate movement elements into every lesson.

Breathing Exercises for Children

The Bee: Breathe in deeply. As you breathe out, hum like a bee. Feel the vibration in your chest. Repeat three times.

The Tree: Stand upright. Breathe in and stretch your arms upward like branches. Breathe out and let your arms sink. Feel the rootedness in your feet.

The Wave: Sit down. Breathe in and roll up the spine. Breathe out and roll it back down. Like a wave that comes and goes.

Children from age 4 can learn and practice these exercises daily.
