During an initial viewing phase, a total of ten potential properties were identified and evaluated. Several of the visited properties have spacious garden areas and some have swimming pools, which provides additional opportunities for exercise, water acclimatization, and playful learning.

Selection Criteria:

Quiet location with good accessibility
Sufficiently large garden areas for outdoor activities
Suitable room structure for small learning groups
Possibility of sustainable and long-term use as a learning center
Environment that supports nature, movement, and creative learning

Current Phase

In-depth Examination & Framework Conditions

The current project phase serves to conduct an in-depth examination of the most suitable property and to clarify the legal and organizational framework for a learning center in Phuket. With this step, the vision of an international location for the Humanistic School comes closer to realization.

Goal: To create a place where children can grow in a respectful, loving, and mentally free learning environment.

Nature Pedagogy

Garden & Nature in Phuket

Thailand offers ideal conditions for nature pedagogy: tropical vegetation, a year-round garden, and a culture of respect for nature.

Several of the visited properties in Laguna / Cherng Talay have spacious garden areas and some have swimming pools. These outdoor areas are not just recreational spaces – they are learning spaces.

In Phuket, children can plant, harvest, and learn in nature all year round. Tropical fruits, herbs, and vegetables grow quickly and visibly – a living classroom that reminds children daily of the Earth's generosity.

Mother Earth is not a metaphor – she is a teacher. In Thailand, where nature is lush and present, children naturally learn to respect, care for, and learn from it.

Tropical Garden

Natural Materials
Crafting and creating with tropical plants and natural materials.
