About Us

The Idea Behind the Humanistic School

In a world full of change, uncertainty and performance pressure, the desire for a new educational path is growing – a path that puts people at the centre.

Our Vision

A World Where Every Child Flourishes

We believe: children are not empty vessels to be filled. They are unique beings whose inner world is rich, wise and alive from the very beginning.

The Humanistic School Switzerland is a place where learning happens with joy, curiosity and genuine meaning – without paralyzing pressure, but with challenges that foster growth.

Values like compassion, peacefulness and gratitude are not taught but lived. From this grows a natural empathy for all living things. And humanity – the ability to recognize and respect others as beings with dignity.

Education with Heart
Every child is accompanied with dignity and compassion.
Joy of Learning
Curiosity is the strongest learning motivation.
Open-mindedness
Two continents, one shared vision.
Community
Learning happens in relationship and trust.
Nature & Earth
Children learn in harmony with nature – garden, plants, Mother Earth.
Holism
Body, mind and soul grow together.

Zeitgeist

Why a Humanistic School is More Important Today Than Ever

Unsere Gesellschaft steht an einem Wendepunkt: Steigender Stress, Entfremdung, psychische Belastungen und ein Verlust an Sinnhaftigkeit prägen das Leben vieler Menschen. Schon Kinder spüren diesen Druck.

Pedagogical Roots

Four Wisdoms. A Living Synthesis.

Our pedagogy is not a textbook theory – it is a living connection of the greatest educational philosophies in human history.

Nature Pedagogy

In Harmony with Mother Earth

Children who know and love nature become adults who protect it. Our school life anchors respect for the Earth as a lived value.

Nature is the oldest and wisest teacher. In humanistic pedagogy, the connection to the earth is not an addition – it is a foundation.

At our locations in Lucerne and Phuket, the school garden is part of everyday learning. Children plant, water, harvest and observe – experiencing firsthand how something great grows from a small seed.

Mother Earth is not a metaphor – she is a teacher. Those who learn as children to plant a seed, save water and share fruit carry this wisdom for life.

School Garden
Planting, watering, harvesting – children experience the cycle of life.
Natural Materials
Crafting, building and creating with what nature provides.
Outdoor Learning
Outdoor classes, nature observation and seasonal rituals.
Gratitude & Mindfulness
Rituals of gratitude for water, earth, sun and food.
"The Earth has enough for everyone's needs, but not for everyone's greed."
Mahatma Gandhi
